This Privacy Policy describes how Swift Grid ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you install and use the Swift Grid app ("the App") on the Shopify platform.

1. Information We Collect

Swift Grid is a theme extension app that provides layout blocks for Shopify storefronts. We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the App:

• Shopify Store Session Data: When you install the App, Shopify provides us with an authentication session that includes your store domain, access token, and basic account information (name, email of the store owner). This data is required by Shopify for the App to function.
• Subscription Status: We store a metafield on your app installation to track whether you are on the Free or Pro plan, so that the correct blocks are enabled on your storefront.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Swift Grid does not collect, store, or process:

• Customer personal data (names, emails, addresses, payment info)
• Browsing behavior or analytics of your store visitors
• Product, order, or inventory data from your store
• Any data from your store's customers

3. How We Use Your Information

The session data we collect is used solely to:

• Authenticate your store and provide access to the App
• Manage your subscription plan (Free or Pro)
• Sync your plan status to your storefront so blocks display correctly

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. Your data is only transmitted between your Shopify store and our application server as required for the App to function.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your session data is stored securely on our servers hosted on Fly.io. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all communications. Access to the database is restricted and not publicly accessible.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

• When you uninstall the App, all session data associated with your store is automatically deleted.
• Any remaining store data is purged within 48 hours of uninstalling, in compliance with Shopify's requirements.
• You can request data deletion at any time by contacting us.

7. GDPR Compliance

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Shopify's mandatory data protection requirements:

• Data Access Requests: If a customer requests their data, we confirm that we hold no customer personal data.
• Data Deletion Requests: We honor all data deletion requests. Since we do not store customer data, no additional action is required beyond session cleanup.
• Shop Data Erasure: All store data is deleted upon app uninstallation.

8. Cookies and Tracking

Swift Grid does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics tools on your storefront. The layout blocks are rendered using pure CSS and Liquid with zero JavaScript overhead.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is a business tool for Shopify store owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
